3/15/ – 3/17 – St. Patrick’s Day: Blarney Bash on Georgia Street and Shamrock Run
The Saturday before St. Patrick’s Day, downtown will be alive with the Blarney Bash and Shamrock Run. The day before, Friday March 14, Indianapolis will dye the canal green in honor of the St. Patrick celebration. Saturday morning will start with the Shamrock Run 5k throughout downtown, followed by the Blarney Bash. The Blarney Bash will take place along Georgia Street downtown and will include tents with local bands, Irish spirits, and all the green beer you can drink! Keep in mind that the annual St. Patrick’s day parade will be held on Monday, March 17th at 11:30 a.m. along the parade route downtown.

If you love our Hoosier pastime, you will have no shortage of basketball to watch in March. Indianapolis will host both the Women’s (Mar. 6-9) and Men’s (Mar. 13 – 16) Big Ten tournaments this year at Bankers Life Fieldhouse. Just two weeks after the Men wrap up, Indianapolis will also host the Midwest Regional of the NCAA March Madness tournament. This event will be hosted on March 28 & 30 at Lucas Oil Stadium. And as if that wasn’t enough, the NBA league-leading Indiana Pacers will host 7 games at Bankers Life Fieldhouse in the month of March. Indianapolis will surely have basketball fever this month.
